Bypass Paris, head for the sun

From Roissy, there is no need to go through Paris: the Francilienne orbital skirts the capital to the east, passes Marne-la-Vallée and joins the A6 south of the Île-de-France region. From there, it is the Autoroute du Soleil all the way to Lyon.

It is the ideal trip after a long-haul flight. Rather than hauling your luggage to the airport’s TGV station and waiting for a train, you get into the car outside the terminal and sleep as the miles roll by.

Your chauffeur tracks your flight in real time. A delay or an early landing changes nothing: they are there when you come out.

Many of our clients do not stop at Lyon: Annecy, Chambéry and the resorts of Savoie and Haute-Savoie lie straight ahead. One single trip, from the airport to the chalet.

An honest comparison

Door to door: private car or train?

Car with driver 4h 45min

From your front door to your destination address, with no changes and no luggage to carry.

Train, door to door 3h 30min

2h 00min on the train, plus around 1h 30min to get to the station, wait for departure and complete the journey at the other end.

Our straight-talking verdict

Direct TGVs link the CDG Airport station and Lyon in about two hours: if you are alone, travelling light and the timetable fits, that is faster. A car with driver becomes the right choice for several people, with lots of luggage or children, after an overnight flight, or if your final destination is in the Alps.
