What really changes beyond 200 km

A ride across town lasts twenty minutes. A long-distance transfer means half a day on board: seat comfort, boot space, smooth driving and well-planned breaks matter far more than the make of the car.

We plan every trip like a small journey. The route is chosen according to your departure time (nobody drives through Lyon at 5pm on a Friday), breaks are scheduled roughly every two hours, and the vehicle is sized for your luggage, not just the number of passengers.

Our pricing is deliberately simple: a base rate of €2 per kilometre, which you can see before you even contact us. No hidden extra for an additional suitcase or a child seat. The final price takes into account the exact addresses, the time of travel and tolls, and is confirmed before you book.

On paper, the train is often faster. But as soon as there are three or four of you, with luggage, children or an address far from a station, a car with driver catches up and can even work out cheaper per person. The table below lets you compare.

How we organise a long journey

The right vehicle, not the biggest one

A comfortable saloon for up to 4 passengers with a reasonable amount of luggage, or a Mercedes V-Class van for up to 7 passengers or whenever the suitcases pile up. We will tell you frankly if your request needs a van.

Breaks that make sense

Breaks are planned at service areas chosen in advance: clean toilets, decent coffee and room to stretch your legs. With children, we set the pace around their naps rather than the clock.

A carefully chosen departure time

Leaving at 6.30am rather than 8am often saves 45 minutes getting out of Paris. We advise you on the best time slot for your destination and day of the week.

One point of contact until you arrive

You deal with the same person from the quote request to drop-off: a change of time, a delayed flight or an unplanned stop can all be handled with a simple WhatsApp message.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a long-distance private driver cost? +

Our estimates are based on €2 per kilometre: around €450 for Paris–Lille, €930 for Paris–Lyon or €1,700 for Paris–Milan. The final price depends on the exact addresses, time of travel, vehicle and tolls, and is confirmed before you book.

Is it more expensive than the train? +

For one person travelling alone, yes, almost always. With four passengers and luggage, the gap narrows considerably, especially once you add taxis at both ends, and the door-to-door time saving can be real.

Does the driver take breaks? +

Yes, a break is planned roughly every two hours at service areas chosen in advance. You can also ask to stop whenever you like.

Can we do a return trip in a single day? +

Yes, it is common for Lille, Brussels, Deauville or Reims. The driver waits for you on site and the waiting time is included in the quote.

Are child seats provided? +

Yes, infant carriers, child car seats and booster seats are provided free of charge. Simply give the children’s ages in your request.

Can I book the day before for the next day? +

Often, yes. Message us on WhatsApp: we reply within minutes to confirm availability.
