The first part of the trip follows the A6 to Mâcon, through Burgundy. We then branch off onto the A40 towards Bourg-en-Bresse, and that is where the scenery changes: the motorway cuts into the Jura, with viaduct after tunnel, skirts Lake Nantua and then opens out onto the Geneva basin.
We enter Switzerland at the Bardonnex customs post. Switzerland is not in the European Union: the crossing is usually smooth, but checks are possible, and Swiss motorways require a vignette, which we take care of.
Geneva is an international city: United Nations organisations, banking, commodity trading, watchmaking. Our clients are as likely to be professionals as families heading for the airport or the Alps.
In winter, Paris–Geneva often becomes Paris–Alps: Chamonix is an hour away, Megève barely more, Verbier or Crans-Montana two hours. One trip, one boot for the skis, with no change of transport.
